Nợ nước ngoài và lượng khí thải CO2 tại Việt Nam

Bài viết này nhằm mục đích tìm hiểu mối quan hệ giữa nợ nước ngoài (NNN) và lượng khí thải CO2 tại Việt Nam trong giai đoạn 1989–2018. Số liệu trong nghiên cứu được thu thập từ Ngân hàng Thế giới (World Bank) và trang web countryeconomy.com. Nghiên cứu sử dụng mô hình véc tơ tự hồi quy (VAR) để phân tích mối quan hệ giữa NNN và lượng khí thải CO2. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy, tồn tại mối quan hệ hai chiều giữa NNN và lượng khí thải CO2; đồng thời có sự tương tác giữa NNN và lượng tiêu thụ điện ở Việt Nam. Dựa vào kết quả nghiên cứu, Việt Nam cần có chính sách phù hợp để phát triển kinh tế bền vững.

External Debt and Co2 Emissions in Vietnam

Abstract:

The paper aims to explore the relationship between external debt and CO2 emissions in Vietnam during 1989-2018. Data in the study were collected from the World Bank, website: countryeconomy.com. This study used the Vetor Autoregression Model (VAR) to analyze the relationship between external debt and CO2 emissions. The research results show that there are a twoway relationship between external debt and CO2 emissions, and has interaction among external debt and electricity consumption in Vietnam. Based on the research result, Vietnam needs to have appropriate policies for sustainable economic growth.
