Impacts of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Capabilities on Competitive Advantages at Garment Companies in Ho Chi Minh City

Abstract:

This research examines the impacts of supply chain management and logistics capabilities on competitive advantages. We use a table of 25 surveyed questions collected from 297 managers working at garment companies in Ho Chi Minh City. Collected data are analyzed using software SPSS 24 and AMOS 2. The results of structural equation modeling demonstrate that the supply chain management has the strongest positive impact on the competitive advantages while the logistics capabilities has the second strongest positive impact on the competitive advantages. Based on the research results, some implications can be drawn to support the managers of garment companies in improving supply chain management and logistics capabilities, thereby contributing to increasing competitive advantages in context of global integration and contributing to socio-economic development.
